Surrounded by nature, freshness beyond the sea: waterfalls and bathing rivers
Rest can be enjoyed not only in the bedroom: some places in nature offer everything you need to find relaxation and tranquillity. An optimal element from this point of view is the presence of water: whether it is the sound of a waterfall or the possibility to take a dip in the refreshing waters of a river, the effect is certainly rejuvenating.
Where can you go to find waterfalls and bathing rivers?
One of the first places to look is Tuscany, where each area has its own type of nature reserve featuring stunning rivers or waterfalls. Here are a few examples:
- Rio Buti and Lake Bilancino in northern Tuscany
- Masso delle Fanciulle, the Fluvial Park of the River Elsa 'Elsa Viva', the Alto Merse Nature Reserve and Canaloni del Torrente Fama in southern Tuscany
- Moraduccio and Acquacheta waterfalls in Northeast Tuscany
- Candalla and Polle di Malbacco waterfalls in the North-West
Other regions present authentic natural swimming pools: from the Torrente Fer in Valle d'Aosta to the Rio Pitrisconi in Sardinia, from the Fermona waterfall in Lombardy to the Golfarone waterfalls in Emilia-Romagna, the Italian peninsula offers a wide range of solutions if you are looking for a natural place where you can find wellness from contact with water.
And outside Italy?
Among the most characteristic places to take a dip in nature are the Pont du Gard in France and the Granta River in the United Kingdom. The former is an ancient Roman aqueduct where the Gardon river basin becomes much wider and the waters are shallow, making it ideal for bathing; the latter is south of Cambridge and the river course has numerous basins in which to bathe or overhanging rocks where willow branches create a set of natural swings.
In Malaysia, on the other hand, you will find the Lubok Simpson: this basin is immersed in the oldest rainforest in the world and its waters are particularly calm and clear.
These and many other places are perfect for enjoying as much relaxation as possible from contact with nature: the bedroom is not the only place to relax, take Magniflex’s word for it!
